In this mid-century urban modern kitchen remodel in North Central Tucson, a stunning combination of natural stained maple and black countertops was used to create a sophisticated and timeless look. The remodel involved a full layout change, with two main divider walls removed to open up the space. Plumbing and electrical systems were relocated to accommodate the new design.
The kitchen features custom-built maple cabinets with all-plywood construction, crafted on-site, paired with a sleek black granite countertop and durable concrete floors. A standout feature is the custom combined spice and tray pull-out, along with a hidden support in the island that allows the countertop to be cantilevered 36 inches for additional seating.
Soft-close doors and drawers are used throughout the kitchen, with sliding doors on the back of the island to save space and prevent accidents. All new appliances are seamlessly integrated with appliance panels to maintain a cohesive look, hiding the stainless steel finish.
This kitchen remodel showcases full custom cabinets built on-site, tailored to the customer’s desire for a functional kitchen that is also a welcoming space for entertaining. The result is a kitchen that serves as the heart of the home, offering high entertainment value and a space where the customer loves to spend time. This project highlights the expertise of a skilled kitchen designer, combining functionality and style to create a dream kitchen.
